Born in Brazil but spending half his life in Boston, Chris Roddick has been creating many forms of art since an early age; however, it wasn’t until he started spending time in Provincetown in 2009 and seeing its dramatic landscapes and coastal scenery that he awakened his innermost sensibilities, expressing his creativity in the form of paintings. Chris creates each work by capturing his subjects figuratively and abstractly through bold, colorful expression. Chris’ style involves various mediums and techniques, bringing life to his work and allowing the subject to unfold, layer upon layer.
Chris’ primary objective is to inspire the viewer with images that feed the heart and soul through positive energy. Chris’ work has been on display at the Scollay Gallery at the Boston City Hall, Mass General Hospital, The Ashmont Grill, and The Gallery Event in Boston. This summer, Chris curated his own show, “Soulstice”, in Boston. Chris’ artwork is now being represented and displayed by the Stewart Clifford Gallery in Provincetown, MA.
