William Garnier

William is a Massachusetts based photographer and photo-illustrator and an alum of the Art Institute of Boston, currently living on Cape Cod. He was and is influenced by all forms of photography, pop culture, and photo history. After a number of years in Boston as a commercial photographer doing everything from candy to leather jackets, he turned his interests to a series of photo-illustrations, a medium that combines elements to tell a story. These images feature color, creativity and an off-center humor.

William’s intention is to create art that lightens the mood and leaves the viewer with a seed of recollection, a toy, a moment, a beverage, something that may trigger a smile or a connection. This is the foundation of his work.

He currently is showing his work in Newburyport, Centerville MA, and here at the Stewart Clifford Gallery. He has shown at The Cultural Center in Yarmouth, The Cotuit Center for the Arts, and The Plymouth Center for the Arts.
